2025 Q4 - Updates

Lots of great news to round out a productive year! Among the highlights:

• The Charlestown, RI Town Council passed a resolution in support of our efforts to secure infrastructure upgrades and commuter rail service at Westerly Station

• About 150 people from Westerly, Pawcatuck, and surrounding communities packed the room for RIDOT's December 10th Public Listening Session in Westerly (thank you all for making your voices heard!)

• The CT Examiner, New London Day, Westerly Sun, and Ocean State Media all covered the Public Listening Session in the context of our efforts

• The Northeast Corridor Commission's newest Capital Investment Plan (FY26-30) states that mini-high platforms are set to be installed at Westerly Station by August 2029

On deck for Q1 2026:

• Supporting the Shore Line East Riders’ Advocacy Group’s efforts to regain full funding for Shore Line East

• More progress on our policy papers

• Keeping an eye out for State Rail Plan updates
